A clash between two cultures where Eastern meets Western tradition. I ended up doing both. Growing up Vietnamese American, how do you go about a Vietnamese Tea/Gift Ceremony? I learned from having friends who came before me. Being a bridesmaid 7 times prior has definitely helped, all being Vietnamese American girlfriends. I learned a few things or two being a bridesmaid.
The traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese outfit) was chosen by my bridesmaids and me. They wore it well, I was so glad.
Below was my sister prepping me up before coming downstairs to meet the future husband.

This picture below… Priceless, a moment I can never replicate.

Outside the house, the groom’s side of the family awaits with gifts to present to the brides family.

The exchange of the gifts over to the brides family met with Tevin, my handsome groom.

The moment we have all been waiting for. Tevin anxiously looking up at the bride, the sheer happiness on his face just brings tears to my eyes. Troy my photographer has caught these moments so successfully.

The gift exchange with Tevin’s mom, my future mother in law was so special.

Just so beautiful, the details of your ao dai.

The entrance gate was hand made, and here we were enjoying what was made, and the beautiful pictures to show for. The archway was all made from silk flowers bought from Michaels, drapes from Event Decor. The arch project was a success, it was gorgeous.
