After coming back from Cancun – Tevin and I went to the ER around 5 am. We were the first one admitted. Tevin had severe pain on the lower right groin and lower left back. I waited until Tevin was admitted into the room. I left for work. He stayed there for 14 hours. They did 2 CT scans and several blood tests.
At first one of the doctors said it was a Hematoma on the lower right groin. They did another scan and it was confirm to be a mass and not a hematoma Tevin had hoped for. The severity of his condition is critical and to think it was a hematoma was ok.
I was tired and my mind was occupied at work. I tried to stay busy.
After work I rushed to the hospital to see Tevin. He was still in the ER waiting for a room upstairs.
His face looked grim. Tevin said both of his kidneys were blocked and the urologist has stopped by to confirm he needs the Nephroscopy tubes on both kidneys to relieve the pressure and pain. Tevin was admitted to a room upstairs for more scans and testing. I stayed with Tevin Until I had to leave him.

I went home showered and tried to sleep. Another sleepless night .. I probably slept around 3 or 4am.
The alarm rang and I was out of the house around 7am .. headed to the hospital to keep Tevin company. He looked weary and drowsy from the pain meds. I stayed for a bit, left, grabbed coffee and went to work.
Work has always kept me busy and sane. Saving one tooth at a time. Walid my assistant has got to be one of the most caring assistant I’ve ever met. Both him and his wife Naima are truly caring people. They took care of Coco when we went to Cancun.

After work I walked to Whole Foods to grab Tevin a couple of different soups. Thank goodness for Whole food’s hot bar. Working and keeping Tevin company at the hospital is no small task.
But unconditional love does fuel the energy I need. I find the strength within to keep going, to keep being strong and to keep positive for Tevin.
Tevin gets upset easily, not knowing what he has. Is the cancer spreading? No one would tell him anything. Woken up every 2 hours for vitals, and woken up from pain. It was a restless night.
